Description
Roman Road Ring – the idea and symbols behind the product
This Roman Road Ring is part of our Pathways collection. Those stone paved Roman roads were vital to the maintenance and development of the Roman state, and were built from about 300 BC though the expansion of the Roman Empire. They were the main means for overland movement of armies and civilians. The courses (sometimes even surfaces) of many Roman roads survived for millennia. Some modern roads actually overlay those ancient empire lifelines. For example Watling Street is a route in England that began as an ancient track way first used by the Britons. The Romans later paved the route and noways we use sometimes not knowing the origins of it in the first place.
This beautiful ring reminds me of those sustainable roads Romans were building. Those roads were maid for being there after hundreds of years. This ‘stone-paved’ silver ring will take you to different places and bring you new adventures. Have it and wear it.
